Mustad
i dag - Long traditions
Mustad is
a company with long traditions. Ever since Mustad started
production of fish hooks, hook-related fishing has been
the company's core business.
Mustad fish hooks were already well known and in demand
by fishermen all over the world early in the twentieth century.
The corporate headquarters is situated in Gjøvik,
on the same site where the company was founded
in 1832. Many of today's employees can trace their
association with Mustad back several generations. This is also true for the
current owner, Hans Holth Mustad, who represents the sixth generation of family
ownership.
Longlining is an
environmentally-friendly fishing method. It is passive,
selective, requires limited energy and is not harmful to
the seabed. With products such as Autoline, Rotoline, Norbait
and 15,000 different fish hooks, Mustad will provide efficient
longlining into the future.
