Baitloss during setting due to various species of sea birds is periodically a problem for the longline fleet. Mustad's Autoline Setting Tube™ may be mounted to the stern and leads the line directly into the sea, thus making the bait inaccessible to foraging seabirds.

The Autoline Setting Tube™ improves stability during setting regardless of weather conditions, and as a consequence improves baiting quality, thereby improving catch results.
